Injection Pens for Growth Hormone

For Disetronic Medical Systems / Pharmacia Corp.

 
Helbling developed a generation of injection pens based on dual chamber cartridge technology for reconstitution and injection of Genotropin, Pharmacia's growth hormone. Work was focused on an ergonomic and attractive design, intuitive handling and user interface, semi-disposable modules, and low cost mass production.
 

Our responsibilities included:

  • Feasibility analysis
  • Conceptual design incl. human factors and industrial design
  • Detail design, creation of production documents
  • Identification and selection of moldmakers and monitoring of tooling phase
  • DFMEA, process FMEA, and risk analysis
